Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use, which also serve as the End-User License Agreement ("Terms"), govern your use of the OROT application and related services (the "App"), operated by Aliaksei Krauchanka. By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The service

OROT is a graded-reader application for learning to read Korean. It provides staged Korean texts, tap-to-define vocabulary, progress tracking and synthetically generated audio. The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

3. Your account

Some features require an account, which you can create with an email address or through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Note: paid plans ("OROT Pro") are not yet available. The following terms take effect when Pro is released.

• Subscriptions are offered as auto-renewing purchases. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the App Store, under your Apple ID subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms; we do not process payments or refunds directly.

5. Intellectual property

All content in the App — including the Korean texts, their translations, the course structure and the generated audio — is owned by Aliaksei Krauchanka or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and its content for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, sell or create derivative works from the content without our written permission.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• copy, scrape, redistribute or commercially exploit the App's content;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law;
• interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers or related services;
• use the App in any way that could harm, disable or overburden it.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the educational content is free of inaccuracies.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aliaksei Krauchanka shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belarus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence are not affected by this choice of law.

9. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Aliaksei Krauchanka only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent the App is provided through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App;
• in the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App;
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory or consumer-protection claims;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary;
• any subscription is billed through your Apple ID and managed under the App Store terms.

10. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and material changes may also be announced in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. For any question about these Terms, contact us at outsidenessx@gmail.com.
